![]() | WAYNE STATE SCRIMMAGE The Shamrocks began their season with two scrimmage games at Wayne State University on Saturday the 6th of September. This was a great opportunity for the Omaha Shamrocks to show what they are made of and to see what needs to be worked on before the match against Sioux Falls. The day started with a game vs U.N.O and a second game vs Wayne State. more. |

SHAMROCKS WIN 12-5
Bissell returns to training. He has played many positions but it seems as though Bissell looks to hold the starting wing position for the Shamrocks this season. He has been coming to practice every week and is showing coach Grunberg the he is worth looking at.
Shamrocks rookies 2008/09. This preseason started slow but the numbers for the Shamrocks have started to build up, with players signing up from all walks of life. Kris Kidd is a new players from Plattsmouth NE who has never played the game but is picking up fast. Keep an eye on Kidd he could be something special. In football he played FB and LB so he is quite nifty and has decent hands. You can see Kidd at the Shamrocks Thursday practice at Storz. Starts 6pm.
Deal with Mickey Finns. On Wednesday night George Paunganwa and David Shimonitz met with the Owners of Mickey Finns Sports Cafe and came to an agreement of sponsorship for the Fall season. Contents of the deal were not released but it has been confirmed that the Shamrocks will be hosting the Thursday Night Ritual which will happen every Thursday Night obviously at Mickey Finns Sports Cafe. This will give the fans an opportunity to meet and talk to actual Shamrocks players and take advantage of great beer and food specials from the bar.
Great practice for the rocks. It was an incredible late Thursday afternoon at Storz where the Shamrocks held an exciting practice. It was incredible when we did things right, you could see the fire in each players eyes as we went through the drill focused giving it 100%. Its all you can expect from the Shamrocks who are known for their toughness. If this team can keep working like they did today teams in the region are going to be in big trouble.
PRACTICE IS AT 630 PM AT MEMORIAL PARK ON THURSDAYS AND 6PM AT STORZ ON TUESDAY.
